As a journey developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of mission-critical enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. Working with cross-functional teams, this position participates in gathering, documenting reporting requirements to meet business needs. You will use those requirements to design, develop, test, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes, reports and dashboards that utilize the underlying data. Some of your other responsibilities will include:
- Gathering and documenting functional and technical requirements.
- Providing interpretation of business data meaning and usage.
- Utilizing data analysis to monitor quality, identify root cause problems, developing plans to avoid or mitigate data quality issues.
- Coordinating quality control and create technical process documentation.
- Business Intelligence Solution Development: Designing, building, testing, and deploying complex BI solutions, ETL processes, dashboards, and self-service tools that accurately meet business requirements.
- Product Specific Experience: Working with Microsoft product line of development tools, including PowerBI, Visual Studio, SSIS and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Technical Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Producing clear, accurate documentation on database structures, report logic, metadata, and platform configurations.
- Ethics, Data Stewardship & Confidentiality: Safeguarding sensitive data (including Categories 3 and 4) through compliant handling, sound judgment, and adherence to data governance practices.
- Platform Administration & Environment Stewardship: Configuring, testing, and maintaining BI platforms, ensuring security, availability, stability, and compliance with governance expectations.

- A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field to information management with an emphasis in software development from an accredited institution whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or a foreign equivalent AND seven years of progressive experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale Business Intelligence tools and dashboards, data warehousing, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling.
