Join our team as a collaborative, communicative, and experienced leader supporting the Home and Community Administration in the Region 1 Field Services office in Yakima, WA.

As a Field Services Administrator – you will be managing, supervising, coordinating, and evaluating staff activities for Regional Field Services Operations. You will manage crisis, conflicts, and difficult situations using resources, and offering support to ensure client health and safety. You will assess and implement risk management strategies for nine offices located in 12 counties. You will collaborate with the Yakama Nation and provide administrative oversight to the Toppenish office located on the Yakama Nation Reservation. You’ll work with community partners and organizations, internal and external stakeholders which include tribes and other state agencies throughout the region to create and develop partnerships, leverage resources, collaborate and integrate programs with other governmental organizations, state agencies, Tribes, private providers, numerous concerned citizens, and advocacy groups.

This is an onsite, flexible hybrid role. This position will supervise staff in 9 offices spread across 12 counties in Southwest Washington:

  • Moses Lake | Ellensburg | Yakima | Toppenish | Sunnyside | Kennewick | Walla Walla | Clarkston | Colfax

Occasional work or partnership with nearby offices in Moses Lake, Kennewick, or Wenatchee may occur, but the focus is on Yakima operations.

Some of What You Will Do

  • Manage daily Field Services operations, resources, and crisis situations to support client health and safety.

  • Lead, organize, and evaluate work of administrative and support staff.

  • Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of services for current and future clients.
  • Supervise staff: assign, organize, train, and evaluate their work, providing coaching, mentoring, recognition, and corrective action as needed.
  • Understand and interpret policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations for staff, clients, families, service providers, and partners.
  • Implement and monitor budget allocations for efficient operations.
  • Oversee training, development, and rollout of initiatives for staff and stakeholders.
  • Build community partnerships, working closely with Tribes—including the Yakama Nation—and community groups.
  • Respond to emergencies and urgent matters.
  • Attend and participate in high-level meetings, statewide workgroups, agency events, team meetings, and trainings.

Who Should Apply

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in social services, public administration or a closely allied field
AND
  • Five years of supervisory/management experience in the human services field, of which at least three years involved working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
OR
  • Equivalent professional experience/education.

Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of advanced principles of management, leadership, and staff development.
  • Planning, quality improvement techniques, community organization skills, work plan, workflow methods, and organizational methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques of policy development and management, and principles and practices of program planning and evaluation.
