As an Office Specialist II, you will be the first point of contact for the public, both in person and over the phone. In this role, you will communicate division-wide hunting and fishing information—including fees, rules, procedures, policies, and decisions—to our customers. You will handle over-the-counter sales of licenses and permits while ensuring all visitors are assisted promptly. Additionally, you will serve as an expert resource to help resolve complex questions regarding licensing rules and policies.

This position operates in a professional office setting. You will primarily sit or stand in front of a computer for extended periods, with occasional lifting of items under 50 lbs.

Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing of POS systems
- Work directly with the public in person and over the phone explaining Division-wide applicable hunting and fishing information including fees, rules, procedures, policies and decisions
- Handle over the counter sales of licenses, permits, certificates of registrations, duplicates etc.
- Find, gather and collect information or data
- Assist people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism
- Collects biological samples and data from harvested animals
Minimum or "day-one" qualifications:
- Must have computer and google suite proficiency
- Must be able and willing to learn DWR software for selling licenses and assisting customers
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Organized
- Communication and listening skills
- A willingness to learn and friendly attitude
- Must be comfortable handling dead animals and collecting biological samples
- Knowledge of wildlife regulations for fishing and hunting preferred
