JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Human Resources Generalist serves as a strategic and operational partner to leadership, supporting workforce effectiveness, compliance, and organizational stability across State of the Art Healing. This role balances hands-on HR execution with higher-level advisory responsibilities, including employee relations, talent management, performance management, organizational design support, and change implementation. Operating within a behavioral-health and addiction-recovery environment, the Senior HR Generalist ensures HR practices are compliant, trauma-informed, and aligned with regulatory expectations while supporting leaders through complex people matters. The position requires sound judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to coach leaders while independently managing high-impact HR initiatives.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
2. Progressive human resources experience, including substantial responsibility in employee relations, performance management, and/or compliance.
3. Demonstrated experience partnering with leadership on workforce planning, organizational change, and talent development initiatives.
4. Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour, ADA, FMLA, anti-discrimination, and employee relations standards.
5. Experience supporting HR operations in healthcare, behavioral health, addiction recovery, or other highly regulated environments preferred.
6. Proven ability to analyze workforce data, identify trends, and translate insights into practical recommendations.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence leaders and manage sensitive issues.
8. Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
