Overview
This position is a lead position in the TSP Custodial Worker series and involves performing moderate custodial work and other related tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for training and leading the custodial staff at TSP.
- Oversees the custodial team by assigning tasks and monitoring their work.
- Assists the custodial supervisor with scheduling and cleaning tasks throughout the park, while leading teams with indirect supervision.
- Cleans restrooms by sanitizing showers, toilets, and sinks; washing floors and walls; cleaning mirrors; and emptying trash.
- Maintains proper inventory and organization of cleaning supplies by stocking housekeeping closets. Immediately bags, tags, and submits all lost and found items according to policy.
- Monitors the grounds to collect trash and check for any necessary maintenance.
- Knowledge of principles, equipment, and chemicals involved in cleaning work
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and bend, stretch, twist, or reach with one¿s body, arms, and/or legs
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- Ability to manage one¿s own time and the time of others
- Ability to teach others how to do something
- Ability to monitor/assess performance of self or others to make improvements or take corrective action
- Ability to troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors in equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, or other custodial equipment
