Job Overview
This classification provides consultation to the DCS child and family team on the mental health needs of children in custody. This position serves as the clinical expert for the region and is called upon to provide recommendations regarding treatment needs including acuity of services.
Key Responsibilities
Master's degree in a mental health related field. Licensure from the appropriate state licensing board with the State of Tennessee is required at the time of employment. Examples of appropriate licensure include LCSW and LPC-HSP.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure consultation is available regarding the mental and behavioral health of all youth in the region.
- Provide consultation for all cases upon initial entry into custody.
- Participate in High-Risk Review Team meetings.
- Respond to Incident Reports relevant to behavior support and management and mental health crises.
- Act as a liaison to COE's and to acute psychiatric hospitals.
- Participate in CFTM's to discuss the mental health of our youth.
- Participate and provide consultation on psych harm cases and severe abuse review cases.
