This seasonal position will assist fisheries managers and biologists with management and research activities on Missouri River reservoirs. Assist in fish spawning and stocking operations; fish population sampling using gill nets, trap nets, seines, and electrofishing; and angler use and harvest surveys. Assist with data entry and equipment maintenance.
Essential requirements : Valid driver’s license, the ability to perform strenuous physical labor, and the ability to work nights and weekends. Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
Beneficial Experience: Operation and maintenance of boats, motors, and trailers, basic vehicle and equipment maintenance, knowledge of fisheries management principles and techniques, fish identification, and basic computer operation.
Please note this is a temporary or seasonal, non-benefited position, exempt from civil service.
