Under direct supervision of the WIC Admin Team Lead, performs administrative duties for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) client services. Implement and adheres to agency/program policies and procedures for efficient service delivery. Provides quality customer service in a culturally competent manner. Maintains strict confidentiality and upholds agency privacy practices.

  • Performs all Administrative duties required to provide WIC services to authorized clients within the state. Completes Intake and Outtake of patient data, utilizes program data systems and Outlook systems. Interviews individuals and determines if applicants meet the identification, residency and financial requirements for eligibility with the WIC program.  Processes information, updates client profiles, assists with registering to vote, referrals as appropriate, completes WIC record, completes data collection and entry into the SCWIC system.

  • Provides support to WIC clients through eWIC to include card activation/issuance and Farmers' Market benefits. Assists with required WIC program reports to include non-participation, discharge, Motor Voter, etc.

  • Provides quality customer service in a culturally competent manner in face-to-face and telephone encounters and maintains client confidentiality. Ensures official DPH forms are placed in the proper record order in accordance with DPH policy. Interviews clients per clinic guidelines and establishes client records. Follows WIC program security per policy and procedures. Submits PCAS and other require program reports monthly or by designated deadlines.

  • Participates in emergency or major disasters to expedite services to the public as outlined in the DPH/Region Plan. During such times, the incumbent should regard her/himself as being on-hour call and subject to duty when such events occur, or are anticipated to occur.

  • All other duties as assigned.
State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer or their designee.

A high school diploma or a high school diploma and two (2) years of administrative office experience, or an associate's degree in secretarial science or a related field and one (1) year of experience which includes public contact. Bilingual (English/Spanish) and customer service experience in a clerical environment.

DRIVING RECORD: If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver's license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.

Salary : $33,532 - $49,100
