Job Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the principal to provide the best practice instruction, innovative curricula, and assessment and evaluation to meet child and family outcomes. Communicate with parents and the principal, on a regular basis concerning all aspects of the child's development, including at least two parent conferences in the classroom and two home visits during the school year. Maintain current records in accordance with standards established by SCSDB, and all other government and agency standards.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree with SC Teacher Certificate in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, (appropriate to the students being served), or closely related field, and experience with childcare in a structured educational environment, preferably a classroom with children who are deaf/hard-of-hearing or blind/visually impaired. Must have the equivalent of the SC Infant-Toddler Credential. This position may require communication modalities dependent upon employment placement.
