Job Duties:
- The Regional Performance Coach Team Coordinator provide direct supervision to the Child Welfare Services Regional Performances in the Upstate and Pee Dee Region. The Regional Performance Coach Team Coordinator ensure accountability to Performance Coaches in practice improvement and support of Child Welfare Services staff and leadership. The Regional Performance Coach Team Coordinator maintain understanding and knowledge of DSS policy, agency mission and guiding principles and standards practice model. The Regional Performance Coach Team Coordinator coordinate support, training, and teaming of Child Welfare Services staff and leadership with practice improvements and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Provide direct supervision to the Upstate and Pee Dee Regional Performance Coaches in Child Welfare Services to ensure coaching, mentoring and modeling in alignment with the GPS practice model for the purpose of improving practice that upholds child safety, promotes permanency, and increases wellbeing outcomes.
- Analyze and interpret regional and statewide Child Welfare data for the purpose of identifying strengths, practice themes and barriers to achieve practice improvement. Facilitate data discussions with direct reports and regional leadership to address target areas for practice improvement.
- Assist and coordinate direct reports' role in Child Welfare Academy Pre-Service Certification and mentorship assignments of newly certified case managers.
- Coordinate with Regional Directors and Child Welfare Services leaders to provide support, identify practice patterns, monitor continuous quality improvement, and maintain a level of practice consistency throughout the state.
- Implement and integrate the South Carolina Guiding Principles and Standards (GPS) Practice Model across the agency and provides periodic training and technical assistance.
- Maintain working knowledge of DSS policies; updates and coordinates Performance Coaches participation in supporting learning through coaching and training staff in policy application around policy changes and updates.
- Provide direct reports with EPMS planning and evaluation plans. Participate in timely hiring and training of new Performance Coaches.
- Maintain an active routine of self-care and pursues support when necessary to minimize the threat of secondary trauma to physical and mental health.
- Perform Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duties/services as directed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
