Professor of Engineering- Transfer/ Civil

Provides Engineering Technology instruction focused mainly in Civil or General Engineering content o students enrolled in courses within the subject area. Provides curriculum development and assessment, care bf facilities, equipment and other details pertinent to the program. Manages community outreach functions related to the program. May teach in the day, evening, on-campus (all campuses), as well as alternate delivery methods (i.e. internet, hybrid, etc.). Training in Civil Engineering and Surveying preferred.

A minimum of a Master's degree in Engineering or a Master's Degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours completed in a directly related discipline. Knowledge of academic management, effective principles of curriculum/program development and assessment, positive Interpersonal skills, and effective and correct oral and written communication skills. Knowledge in the following areas: Principles and procedures pertaining to higher education, especially teaching methodologies; standard business practices and accepted protocol for areas of responsibility; and college mission, goals and objectives. Ability to supervise and coordinate student activities and establish good working relations with alumni, businesses, students, media, faculty, and others In college community. Professional Certification and/or Licensure is desired but not required. Industrial and/or teaching experience is a plus. Experience with accreditation processes, curriculum design, online educational content production, or alternative course delivery methods Is strongly preferred.
