- Plan, direct, and supervise all instructional mailroom operations.
- Coordinate activities between the institution and the U. S. Post Office.
- Supervise postal specialists position; supervise the receiving, sorting, and distribution of all U.S. and departmental mail to ensure proper delivery.
- Open and inspect all incoming mail for contraband.
- Prepares various logs and reports daily.
- Maintain accurate accounting of all funds.
- Supervise and coordinate fiscal activities for the E. H. Cooper Trust Fund.
- Serves as notary public for inmate population.
- Work closely with property control officer in handling packages received through U.S. Postal service.
- Possess thorough knowledge of postal regulations.

- A high school diploma and three (3) years of experience in postal, courier, or delivery operations with one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- An associate degree or higher with one (1) year of supervisory experience may be substituted for the required work experience.
