Advertised Job Summary
Performs skilled tasks in a plumbing shop relating to a comprehensive planned and corrective maintenance program for University-wide plumbing systems including maintenance, installation, renovation, and new construction in over 185 buildings using 1.2 million gallons of domestic water per day with 14,500 miles of campus piping infrastructure of the University of South Carolina that includes athletic facilities, residence halls, and cafeterias operating continuously 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and could include satellite campuses and off-site facilities.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Preferred Qualifications
• High school graduate and 4 years experience in the management or supervision of commercial maintenance and repair services relating to plumbing systems with a journeyman certification in plumbing.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Knowledge and experience in managing resources and inventories, and skill in using a computer.
