Job Responsibilities
This position is under the supervision of the associate dean, and the primary responsibility is instruction in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. The faculty member is responsible for teaching courses, coordinating clinical instruction, including procuring clinical sites and managing student clinical experiences, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, advising students, and maintaining office hours.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy or a related area, current licensure as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant, and a minimum of three (3) years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice. At least two (2) years of experience as a CCCE (Center Coordinator of Clinical Education) and/or CI (Clinical Instructor) in physical therapy; or a minimum of two (2) years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and administration in a PT or PTA program is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have previous teaching experience. Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual change in information technology. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential. Preferred candidates will hold a current South Carolina license as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
