Job Responsibilities
The logistics specialist will support the Shipping and Receiving Department of MIL as directed by the S&R supervisor. Responsibilities include Receiving, sorting, storing, and delivering supplies, equipment and mail. Physically assist in the movement and relocation of college property, equipment, and supplies using hand truck, forklift, and/or pallet jack. This position requires extensive walking and outside work during periods of inclement weather. This position requires extensive lifting of equipment and packages on a daily basis.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must maintain a valid and clean South Carolina Driver's license and be able to lift 70 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
A basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and UPS/FedEx shipping procedures. The preferred candidate will also posses excellent customer service and communication skills.
