What You Will Do

As a Lead Cloud Administrator, you will provide technical leadership for cloud and on-premises infrastructure, supporting Azure-based services, Windows environments, and core systems. You will lead complex operations and support efforts, serving as a key resource for troubleshooting, system performance, and technical guidance.

Primary Job Duties Include

  • Serving as technical lead for the support of Azure Cloud based services AD, SAML, and Entune, including on-premises services AD, DNS, and DHCP
  • Directly supporting infrastructure systems/hardware assigned
  • Performing advanced administrations tasks such as Azure AD and SAML, GPO’s DHCP, DNS, application resources, and security and/or data isolation
  • Researching new technologies and options making written recommendations to upper management
  • Working closely with the team to ensure members are cross trained on supported systems
  • Consulting with hardware and software vendors to evaluate products and to identify solutions

Minimum And Additional Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology systems, computer science, or a related field and experience in information technology systems or a related area.
  • Relevant experience or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis with an approved equivalence by the Division of State Human Resources (DSHR)

Academic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of Azure AD, Traditional Active Directory, SAML/SSO authentication, MS Cloud Admins Centers, Intune, MS Windows Workstation and Server OS, and Virtual environments

  • Training: Lead Cloud Administrators will participate in an onboarding program to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to successfully perform their job
  • Hours: Flexible hours may be available from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week), Some weekend or night work may be required.
  • Telework schedule: This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week after one year of employment with SCDOR.
