What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guidance Counselor (#021596) Allendale Correctional Institution, Fairfax (ALLENDALE) Level 2 position at State of South Carolina?
Under the direction of the Superintendent/Principal:
- Supervises the guidance functions within assigned schools..
- Coordinates and administers standardized student testing ( i.e. TABE, GED, WORKKEYS, etc.).
- Provides oversight to schools within assigned region as approved by principal.
- Maintains accurate data in a timely manner..
- Provides direct student instruction..
- Satisfies all mandatory SCDC and PUSD training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire..

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A valid South Carolina Teaching Credential. (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

SCDC Minimum Requirements:
- Candidate must have a South Carolina secondary teaching certificate in Guidance counseling.
