Job Duties
- The CWS Case Worker Assistant provides casework services in the area of Foster Care.
- Provides or arranges transportation to resources in the community as a part of social service aide plan. Assist with the transportation of children
- Participates as a member of a professional team to plan services for clients.
- Makes requests for educational, medical, dental, law enforcement records etc.
- Makes referrals to service providers, family group conferencing, seneca search etc..
- Maintains an active routine of self-care and pursues support when necessary to minimize the threat of secondary trauma to physical and mental health.
- Assists with the completion of Foster Care Review Board packets, IV-E packets, Home Studies and ICPC packets etc.
- To understand and exercise data security and confidentiality in the transfer, disclosure and management of all client and employee personal information.
- Assists with child and family visitation and teaches appropriate parenting and household management skills.
- Assists with other administrative support functions to include correspondences, copy, fax, email etc.
- Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor. Perform shelter/emergency response duties when needed and as directed (FTE only).
- To ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
