What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Custodial Supervisor position at State of South Carolina?
Job Responsibilities
Employee will function as a custodial assistant supervisor, will coordinate and direct all aspects of the custodial department. The employee will supervise and manage all resources under his/her jurisdiction, organize and implement training for clean facilities at all Spartanburg Community College campuses.
Supervises custodial staff. Responsible for recruiting staff, managing performance through periodic evaluations of all full-time and part-time employees, and providing proper safety and job performance training for custodial employees.
Inventories materials, supplies, and equipment for the department and maintains an adequate inventory. Coordinates maintenance, storage, and repair of all custodial equipment.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
High school diploma and custodial or groundskeeping experience directly related to the area of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong supervisory experience and technical knowledge of all phases of janitorial floor care, preferred.
Additional Comments
Must work night shift and some weekends..Must be flexible and willing to respond to special needs of college, ie., special set-ups, clean-ups or
weekend activities at all college campuses. Driver's license required.
