What are the responsibilities and job description for the Annual Giving Manager position at State of South Carolina?
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for University Advancement, the Annual Giving Manager oversees strategic planning, successful management and execution of a comprehensive annual giving program to meet or exceed state goals. Develops and executes a multi-channel campaign strategy to communicate with potential and current donors. Coordinates, manages and assesses all direct-response fundraising efforts for annual giving, special projects and campaigns. Works in collaboration with campus constituents to execute integrated multi-channel strategies utilizing targeted messaging, audience segmentation and crowd-funding techniques. Administers Winthrop's student call center in the fall and spring semesters, including hiring, training and supervising student callers. Partners with University Communications and Marketing to produce written and digital communication and solicitation pieces. Uses Winthrop Magazine and other global communication strategies to inform and educate prospective donors.Bachelor's degree and at least three years of professional experience in a development office, including experience with annual giving and/or phonathon programs, required. Supervisory and volunteer management experience helpful. Knowledge of annual giving and/or call center programs. Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in annual giving, educational fundraising, direct marketing and volunteer management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, time-management and customer service skills. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn Raiser's Edge donor database system and related software; handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and with discretion; and work evening hours during student call center periods and periodic weekend hours for University Advancement events.
