Performs secretarial and paraprofessional administrative duties, but job duties primarily involve the performance of administrative tasks in support to the Deputy Regional Health Director/Lead Operations Director, Regional Nursing Director, and back-up support to the Regional Administrative Coordinator.

Oversee day-to-day administrative operations for the Operations chain. Coordinate daily calendars/schedules. Coordinates travel and completes administrative paperwork for travel. Collects and organizes information for county profiles. Assists with coordination of hiring process, to include setting interviews, preparing interview packets and face-to-face interviews.

Tracking quality data via excel. Strategic planning data and results entry, population health data and results entry. Coordination of student internships.

Assist with coordination of regional activities. Assist with monthly newsletter and regional communications. Assist in tracking and organizing new staff by maintaining updated lists in programs such as Ready Op, Nursing Credentialing, Org Charts, and Email group lists. Assist with yearly renewals for nursing license in LLR and updated signature logs. Assists with project management and quality improvement projects across the region. Assists with coordination of the hiring process, to include setting up interviews, preparing interview packets and face-to-face interviews.

Serves as back-up to the Administrative Coordinator in the Regional Command Center (RCC).

State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Agency Additional Requirements: A high school diploma and three (3) years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

DHEC employees are required to participate in disaster preparedness during hazardous weather or declaration of an emergency. This involves being subject to duty and or call on a 24-hour basis.
You must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable transportation.
This position may require working early (before 8:30 am), evening (after 5:00 pm) and/or Saturday's.
Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time, if required.

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS: All new employees who are healthcare providers with job-specific exposure risk are required to provide documentation of immunity or be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis, varicella, and Hepatitis B prior to beginning employment.




Experience as Executive Administrative Assistant and experience with Microsoft suite of products including Excel competency.
