What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Professor – Welding Technology position at State of South Carolina?
Provides instruction to students enrolled in Corporate and Continuing Education welding classes. Must have a broad knowledge of the welding industry and welding techniques in Stick, MIG, Flux Cored, and TIG welding. Must have excellent classroom management technique, ensuring the readiness of facilities for class activities; teaching classroom; evaluation and reporting of students’ progress; assigning and assisting students on class projects; creating and delivering lecture and demonstrations. Submits grades and student performance in a timely manner to the Program Director.

Associate’s degree in Welding or related skilled trade field and three (3) years of experience, or five (5) years of welding industry experience including training or mentoring new employees. The Candidate must have extensive on the job experience, knowledge and training along with the ability to convey that knowledge to others. Bachelor's degree in Education with formal training in welding and three (3) years of teaching in the classroom or in industry.
