In this position you will be responsible for the following:
- Supervise and monitor the daily workflow of the Accounts Payable division.
- Develop training and institute cross training.
- Acts as liaison between area offices, vendors, SCEIS, and the Comptroller General's Office.
- Assists with the Consumer Services Procurement System used to process and pay invoices to ensure the proper upload into SCEIS.
- Work with IT and Consumer Services to update the system as needed.
- Track Accounts Payable workflow activity.
- Run SCEIS reports regularly to identify errors, facilitate resolution and address payment delays.
- Ensure daily revolving fund replenishment is timely and accurate.
- Complete employee planning documents and annual performance evaluations in a timely manner.
- Ensures adequate office coverage and addresses personnel problems effectively.
- Assist with year end closing packages related to Accounts Payable as needed.
- Reconcile consumer services accounts.
- Assist with any special projects as needed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
- A high school diploma and 6 years of accounting experience.
- A bachelor or associate degree in accounting or finance may be substituted on a year for year basis of experience.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Two (2) years of SCEIS experience.
- Supervisor experience, preferred.
Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of general bookkeeping and accounts payable principles and best practices.
- Good mathematical and computational skills.
- Ability to perform accounts payable or accounting-related functions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
