Job Responsibilities
The person in this position will assist the office director (Director) with managing all documents and processes related to the office’s human resources, e.g., position descriptions, personnel action forms, new hires, onboarding, IT requests, terminations, and posting of positions. Assist with coordinating and managing office facilities, events, and supplies, including obtaining bids and arranging for event venues. Assist with entering and managing items in the agency’s approval system (ART). Review documents to be signed and/or approved by the Director for grammar and adherence to the agency’s style manual, and finalize documents for distribution. Assist with requests for documents under the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Manage procurement card for approved purchases and the ordering of office supplies, and maintains p-card fiscal records. Coordinate initiatives for the Director by working with the focus groups and cohorts to ensure required reports and documentation are completed in a timely manner. Prepare travel authorization documentation for the Director and other office staff. Other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
This position is located in the Office of Special Education.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
Preferred Qualifications
A high school diploma and at least five (5) years of relevant work experience.
