If you want to use your skills to build a healthier, more resilient community, we encourage you to apply.Under the general guidelines of a direct supervisor: Implements services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in a group setting to include leisure, vocational, pre-vocational, and daily living skills.Completes assessments, implements programs based on assessed needs.Completes all documentation to include but not limited to data on objectives, attendance reports, individual and weekly payroll reports.Provides training in self-help skills to consumers and serve as coverage staff in the residential units.Offer guidance to Direct Support Professionals in the care, and training of individuals with intellectual disabilities and special needs.Ensures health, safety and accountability of individuals with disabilities.Adheres to OIDD written rules, regulations, and policies.Performs additional duties as assigned.This position is eligible for up to $3.50/hour shift differential for applicable shifts!Positions for this posting are located at Whitten Regional Center, an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) of BHDD-OIDD located in Clinton, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
A high School Diploma and one year (1) year of experience in direct support of persons with intellectual and related disabilities. A bachelor's degree may substitute for the required experience.

Employment Contingency: Employment is contingent upon our receipt of the following required pre-employment screenings: medical screening – to include a drug screening; background record checks (to include fingerprinting), South Carolina Department of Social Services’ Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry screening, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General “List of Excluded Individuals/Entities” screening; South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record check; and a review of transcripts verifying educational credentials.
