As a Psychiatric/DD Nurse Supervisor you will perform the following duties:
Nursing Leadership & Supervision
Supervise, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff across assigned shifts.
Maintain adequate staffing levels and address operational issues.
Recommend employee recognition, discipline, and leave decisions.
Care Coordination & Clinical Oversight
Coordinate and oversee psychiatric and medical nursing care.
Assess needs, establish nursing priorities, and evaluate quality of care.
Provide direct nursing care as needed based on needs and staffing levels.
Communicate and collaborate with physicians and external agencies regarding care.
Policy, Procedure, & Program Development
Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring nursing policies, procedures, and departmental goals.
Contribute to development of care standards aligned with current nursing and medical practices.
Serve as a resource to nursing and interdisciplinary staff.
Training & Staff Development
Participate in orientation programs for new staff.
Plan and deliver in-service training and nursing consultation.
Monitor training programs to ensure effective implementation and quality.
Teamwork, Communication & Reporting
Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Attend meetings, seminars, and workshops.
Prepare and review required reports.
Keep the Psych/DD Nurse Director informed of relevant information.

Respond to emergencies and perform other duties as assigned.
