Visitor Relations Specialist

Visitor Relations Specialists serve as the primary receptionist in the hospital's front lobby and are responsible for greeting, directing and escorting Broughton Hospital visitors, employees, and vendors to designated areas within the hospital, including patient units. Visitor Relations Specialists are also responsible for managing information desk technology, operating the main telephone switchboard, and performing routine visitor searches. Ideal candidates have excellent customer service skills, exude professionalism, and can effectively and clearly communicate with hospital staff, patients and the public at various levels.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To The Following
- Monitoring the front lobby, and door call systems
- Observing lobby for cleanliness and tidy area when necessary
- Registering visitors in the Lobby Guard system and issuing visitor name badges
- Operating metal detectors, both standing and hand-held; Inspecting and cataloging visitor items such as clothing, food, monetary donations, personal comforts and any other forms of personal items entering the hospital, including but not limited to preventing all contraband from entering
- Utilize the Patient Directory to locate patients throughout the building
- Communicating effectively and clearly with the public at various levels with the possibility of stressful conditions maintaining a calm demeanor
- Learning and communicating hospital policies, regulations, and programs to visitors
