We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Officer III to function as an Operations Support Director for Central Regional Hospital. This position is responsible for providing administrative leadership, supervision and oversight to the following Departments and Units: 1) Pastoral Care, 2) Special Projects/Events Services, 3) Interpreter Services, 4) Unit Area Director (UAD) for Forensics Services and Community Transition Units, 5) UAD for Admissions Unit, 6) UAD for Geriatric Services, Medical Services and Child and Adolescent Units 7) Clinic, 8) Volunteer Services, 9) Medical Equipment Repair and CRH Security Team. Each Unit and/or Department is assigned either a Unit Administrative Director or a Department Head/Supervisor which this person is directly responsible for the supervision. Personnel responsibilities include providing on-going supervision, direction and oversight to all employees directly supervised. Responsibilities also include establishing annual work plans, counseling, appraising, and disciplining of staff. This position is also responsible as Compliance Officer for the Operations Division. In this role the position inspects, review reports, produce reports on the compliance of departments, units, or sections of the division. This position is the chair/member of various committees in the hospital.
This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits program. The normal work hours are Monday-Friday, 8a-5p; however, flexibility is required to meet hospital needs. This position is deemed Mandatory during adverse weather conditions, which will be discussed in detail during the interview process.

Working knowledge of the principles and practices of business administration, preferably as applied to government programs.
Working knowledge concerning procurement, fiscal, personnel, and administrative management practices, as well as accounting practices and procedures.
Ability to plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of subordinate employees.
Ability to work cohesively with others in solving complex management problems and make sound decisions.
Excellent computer skills covering a range of application software including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.).
Valid NC driver's license.
Management prefers knowledge of State Budget and Personnel Policies.
