Primary Purpose Of Position
Do you enjoy working outside and with your hands? The NC State Parks has a Maintenance/Construction Technician II position available. This role is responsible for hands on work maintaining grounds, buildings, facilities, and equipment. Work includes, custodial tasks, boundary line clearing, routine maintenance, trail maintenance, trash collection, mowing and trimming, prescribed burn assistance and/or auto mechanics.

- Performing a variety of semiskilled tasks in a trade such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and facility maintenance, and/or auto mechanics.
- Operating large and small equipment and/or tools.
- Purchasing resources in accordance with state purchasing policies and procedures.
- Maintaining records and preparing operational forms.
- Assisting in housekeeping.
- May Supervise temporary and permanent staff, community service participates, and/or volunteers on special projects.
- Must be able to perform work inside and outside in various environmental conditions.
- Must be ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, must be able to work evenings, holidays, and/or weekends when necessary. This schedule may vary.
