Technology Support Specialist
Position Overview:
The General Court of New Hampshire is seeking a dedicated Technology Support Specialist to provide technical and application support across multiple business systems within the agency. This role ensures users have reliable access to technology resources, helps maintain system stability, and supports the delivery of efficient, secure, and compliant technology services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in a public-sector environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support legislative applications, processes, and user roles to ensure reliability and compliance.
- Serve as the technical lead for the XMLeg application, including support, maintenance, and version management.
- Administer and maintain the House voting system and related software components.
- Deploy application updates manually and through the KACE Systems Management Appliance.
- Manage application development initiatives, vendor coordination, and print service integrations.
- Respond to customer requests and troubleshoot application-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Perform quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) across IT service deliverables.
- Provide SQL, web, and administrative support for legislative applications and databases.
- Develop, update, and maintain GCTS policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Assist with general technology support across the agency as needed.
- Manage IT hardware and software inventory, including tracking and lifecycle management.
- Process and provide session files for House and Senate Clerks.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; or
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in technology or application support.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related applications.
- Familiarity with SQL, web technologies, and system administration preferred.

Pay: $65,812.76 - $91,611.00 per year
