As a Pharmacy Manager, you will provide clinical and administrative supervision to licensed pharmacists and pharmacy staff including:
- Collaborating with psychiatrists and medical staff regarding individuals’ treatment goals and objectives
- Ensuring compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and practice standards
- Conducting audits and inspections of pharmaceutical inventories, storage, and records
- Preparing pharmacy budgets and monitoring expenditures
Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Pharmacy Manager if they have 5 years of professional post-licensure experience as a Pharmacist, 1 year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity in a pharmacy related setting.

Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Pharmacy Manager eligible list.
OR
Candidates from within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 29 ($123,754) and Geographic Pay Differential ($11,000); and the posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($151,566) and Geographic Pay Differential ($11,000).

If you are appointed and you lose the ability to bill through Medicare and Medicaid, you may be terminated from your employment.
