Duties Description Under the direction of a Manager of Information Technology Services 1, SG-27, within the Information Technology Services, Public Safety Dedicated Support, Business Application Solutions team; The project Assistant (Business Analyst) will collaborate with a project team and business stakeholders to analyze business processes, elicit business requirements, develop business and technical documentation, and participate in the implementation and enhancement of Public Safety applications.Duties include but are not limited to the following.• Develop an understanding of the business needs and processes of the organization.• Collaborate with stakeholders and users to understand and document their needs and requirements for new or improved systems and processes.• Elicit and analyze agency business requirements from stakeholders.• Analyze and interpret data to understand customer behavior and expectations.• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications in collaboration with technical teams.• Create clear documentation, such as business requirement documents, context diagrams, process models, data models, use cases, and wire frames/prototypes.• Work with development team to design and implement new features, provide feedback on solutions, and assist in testing.• Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 6 years of broad information technology (IT) experience with an emphasis on business analysis or project management, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of various IT disciplines and how they intersect within large-scale organizations.Education/Experience Substitutions • Associates Degree and 5 years of experience• Associates Degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and 4 years of experience• Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience• Bachelors degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and 3 years of experience• Masters degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience• Doctorate in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience
