The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description The Legislative Director will handle bill sponsorship,research,budget letter,mailers. Meet with Legislative representatives,represent Assembly Member at meetings. Provide policy advise, prepare: debates,conferences, hearings. Also track legislation, meet with constituents.
The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree.Previous legislative experience is strongly preferred.Ability to analyze & prepares recommendations for budget Proficiency with ResearchingStrong supervisory and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage tasks on simultaneous projects, prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent attention to details.Ability to travel between NYC and Albany.Proficient computer skills.Excellent written and public speaking abilities.Flexibility about work hours, available to work evenings and weekends on occasion.Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to speak before large groups.
