Why does the job exist?
This series represents the management levels of jobs that oversee Juvenile Justice Services. This position will administer and coordinate operations and programs for the Juvenile Reintegration Centers (Albuquerque Boy's Reintegration Center and Eagle Nest Reintegration Center) which house approximately 24 clients with an approximate staff of 35 Full Time Employees.
How does it get done?
This position reports to the Deputy Director of Facilities.
The position will ensure CYFD and Juvenile Justice Services (JJS) policies and procedures are adhered to by Reintegration staff and that unit management is appropriately functioning.
Oversee and coordinates Facility budgets
This position will ensure staff development and training.
This position will lead the Reintegration Centers in providing services, treatment, and security. Programs include: education, mental health, employment readiness, cultural, religion, and recreation as well as medical and classification services.
This position will have an impact in policy and procedure development.
The Division¿s goals include issues with education and recidivism of clients. The management of these centers will actively anticipate, plan, and achieve the goal of the department to decrease the recidivism rate of clients and provide the highest quality education for our clients.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university and eleven (11) years of professional level experience operating within parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling fifteen (15) years may substitute for the required education and experience. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include supervisory and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.
Working Conditions
Work will be completed in various locations to include office, secure facilities, reintegration centers, and community sites. This job could require running, lifting and possible physical intervention. Frequent travel will be expected between the centers and incumbents must be willing to accept changes in geographic assignment and be willing to work shifts, overtime, holidays, weekends and call back for emergencies. There is potential risk from juvenile actions with this position.
