Why does the job exist?
Provides clerical support for clinical and outreach programs for clientele in the northwest quadrant of Albuquerque
How does it get done?
Duties include but are not limited to: Provide clerical support, planning, and preparation for the clinic programs and outreach events. Respond in a timely manner with accurate information to telephone calls from the public and other stakeholders. Provide compassionate and equitable customer service. Work collaboratively with community stakeholders, public health offices, and Department of Health programs. Organize and maintain health records according to HIPAA standards, client intake, registration, and billing, maintain a working knowledge of Public Health protocols and electronic health record, immunization, scheduling, and Microsoft Office software for public health programs. Complete all trainings as required by DOH. Participate in monthly general staff, weekly clinic staff, and safety meetings and drills.

Minimum Qualification
Eighth grade education.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment. Successful completion of HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act)
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.
