The Position
Under immediate supervision, incumbents perform a variety of duties while receiving training for advancement to a higher-level class. This series may be utilized for entry into any Occupational Group.
The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is recruiting for a SkillBridge Trainee position in Las Vegas, Nevada. This position will underfill for an Auditor II position in the Desert Regional Center, ADSD Audit Unit. This is an entry-level trainee class. Incumbents perform a variety of duties while receiving training for advancement to the higher-level class. The incumbent will become knowledgeable of various Developmental Services and revenue sources under supervision of a Management Analyst III. This position will be responsible for conducting various mandated program audits and reviews, as well as insuring that federal sources of revenue are maximized. The incumbent must be able to work independently with a limited amount of direct supervision and must be able to read and interpret legal documents, contracts and federal and/or state regulations concerning Developmental Services Providers and their responsibilities to the individuals served. This position may require occasional travel. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Two years of experience in a Military Occupational Specialty in the field in which the applicant is to be trained.
Special Requirements
Applicants must be honorably discharged from a branch of the United States Armed Forces or National Guard or in the process of transitioning out of military service honorably. Verification of honorable discharge or transition out of military service must be submitted at the time of recruitment.
Applicants must have successfully completed a State of Nevada SkillBridge internship program at the time of appointment.
Additional Position Criteria
This positions requires that all applications have a DD 214 attached to verify acceptable discharges.
