Position Description
The DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES is recruiting for a Casework Management Specialist 1 to underfill a Casework Management Specialist 3 in Fallon, Nevada. Under close supervision, incumbents at this level function in a trainee capacity, learning to determine social service needs of clients, developing appropriate solutions and case plans, and providing ongoing case management services. Advancement to the next level may occur after meeting the minimum qualifications, satisfactory performance, and with the endorsement of the appointing authority.
Casework Management Specialists within the Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Child & Family Services, provide case management services for children and their families and may be assigned to one of many specialized programs and/or facilities where duties may be performed in the home and/or any similar setting.
Incumbent provides child welfare services to children and families to develop and implement a case plan that presents intervention strategies to meet the child's needs; ensures children have their medical, mental health and educational needs met; provides strength-based family-centered case management services to families that promote the safety and well-being and permanency of children; including home visits; monitoring services; report preparation and record keeping. Incumbent receives training in performing the duties outlined in the series concept.
This is a full time position that will be located in Fallon. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, special education, human growth and development, criminal justice, psychology, counseling, social work, sociology or closely related social/human services related field.
