Job Description
Are you passionate about working collaboratively with others, having ownership in the work you do, and using your talents to positively affect communities? If so, come join the Materials and Research team at the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT).
Job Duties
- Through the use of MS Outlook and Excel, will review shipments of asphaltic materials and schedule random samples of such.
- Log in and track samples being received.
- Through on-the-job training, will use analytical laboratory equipment to conduct basic tests of asphaltic materials and help with cleaning and maintaining lab equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High school education or the equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education or experience in highway construction inspection or working in a general laboratory environment.
- Experience in inventory tracking.
- Experience in using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Must be able to safely move, drag, lift, load and unload various materials and supplies with or without assistance.
- Ability to multi-task sample tracking and testing.
- Must be familiar with typing.
