We are looking for a skilled, detail oriented, Registered Nurse with acute care experience for the role of Nursing Services Surveyor Consultant. In this role you will be an integral part of our Public Health Division by performing state and federal surveys of acute care facilities to ensure compliance with both state and federal regulations.

As a Nursing Services Surveyor Consultant, You Will
Perform state and federal surveys of acute care facilities including hospitals, health clinics, rural health clinics and ambulatory surgical centers as well as conduct complaint investigations. Survey activities consist of complaint investigations, initial licensure surveys, federal certification and other surveys and revisits to determine progress toward compliance on previously identified deficient practices. Work requires the gathering of data through interviews, observations, and record review. The data gathered is analyzed, reviewed, and evaluated to determine compliance with applicable regulations and law. Some examples of service areas are abuse/neglect, patient rights, health and safety, and physical plant requirements. Reports are completed based on the survey and findings are entered into a computer software program. Work includes working collaboratively with coworkers as part of a team and independently. The surveyor will be required to travel across the entire state to complete job assignments. This position works Monday – Thursday with frequent overnight travel required.
Work Schedule
Monday - Thursday, 7am - 5:30pm
Pay Rate: $33.033/hour - $44.082/hour. Pay rate determined based on years of LPN and RN work experience.
Requirements/ Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework/training in professional nursing AND experience in hospital, public health or nursing administration, teaching, or surveying health care facilities.
Legal Requirements: A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a registered nurse in Nebraska.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous survey experience, demonstrated experience working as a RN in a hospital, critical access hospital, ambulatory surgical center, or health clinic. Knowledge of basic computer skills and be comfortable entering information into different software and computer databases.
Other: Must have a valid driver's license. Frequent overnight and/or regular day travel is required. Must be able to work 10-hour shifts. Must have good assessment skills, good documentation skills, must be able to communicate through verbal and written communication.
