Job Description
Do you like working with your hands? Are you looking for a job with great benefits? The Department of Administrative Services State Building Division is looking for a Maintenance Specialist to join their team at the Craft State Office Building in North Platte. This is an semiskilled level maintenance position that would be doing repairs on plumbing, electrical, or any other issue that would come up. Also this person would be heavily involved in the groundskeeping during the summer with the rest of the team, both riding mower and push, and any trimming and outdoor maintenance.

Job Duties: Completing repairs and preventive maintenance. Perform carpentry work, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, groundskeeping and other skilled trades work. Schedules and performs specialized preventative maintenance and repairs for equipment, systems, and machinery to ensure necessary inspection, adjustment, and replacement of parts. Maintain accurate inventory of all stock and commonly used maintenance parts. Completes duties as assigned with or without supervision. All other duties assigned within the scope of the classification.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, industrial engineering, HVAC, welding, or other building trade. Experience in building maintenance, a mechanical trade, or performing safety inspections, investigations or training may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis as determined appropriate by the agency
Preferred Qualifications: Journeyman or apprentice level of trades
Work Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm with some on call as needed
Other: Must be able to pass a State Patrol background check. This position requires driving. As such, the incumbent must be able to present a valid driver's license or another form of reliable transportation. Regular and Reliable attendance is required.
