Job Description

Job Duties

Plan, author and/or direct the creation of grant applications to various public and private entities. Provide technical direction in the preparation of grant documents and reports to ensure compliance with regulations. Prepare or cause to prepare grant budgets, financial and staffing forecasts, performance reports and documents as necessary ensuring that deadlines are met. Monitor progress of all required applications, awards and agreements to ensure deadlines are met. Provide liaison between and confer with various project officials and federal and state authorities. Be aware of and understand all federal policies that relate to funding grants. Respond to requests for project information in a timely manner. Monitor and adhere to proper accounting procedures. Ensure accurate and timely disbursement of funds. Maintain or cause to be maintained databases, reports, financial schedules and reconciliations, . Create and/or review requisitions, billings, memorandums of understanding, and contracts pertaining to financial aid for formal procedure and proper documentation; incudes amending improper or inaccurate documents. Communicate effectively with program managers any and all amendments, and other grant management details, as needed. Must adhere to strict deadlines for processing and submission of financial requests and reporting.. Schedule and facilitate onsite monitors of subgrantees. Make arrangements for and accompany auditors or inspectors to ensure necessary documents are available for audit. Some overnight travel is required. Successful candidate must be able to multi task and prioritize daily job responsibilities. Must have the ability to work independently and with a team. Ability to work in a fast paced environment in order to meet strict deadlines.

Work Schedule

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

Flexible work schedules may be considered but are not guaranteed.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or other appropriate curriculum, plus two years of significantly related work experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements. Experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications: Grants Management Certification. Intermediate experience in EXCEL.

Other: Regular and reliable attendance is expected. Valid driver's license is required or ability to provide independent authorized transportation. If selected for this position, you must meet the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services employment eligibility requirements by completing an EEV (I-9) Form. The agency does not sponsor H1-B Visa's. Must successfully complete an extensive background screening prior to being employed which includes completion of a Personal History Questionnaire. Applicants must be free of felony convictions, and cannot maintain continuous association or dealings with persons, groups, or organizations that they know, or should know, are persons or groups or organizations under criminal investigation or indictment or who have reputation for present, ongoing involvement in felonious or criminal behavior. Selection process will include an interview.
