Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, behavioral science, human services or related field, and two years corrections experience, of which one year must be in a supervisory position; OR Associate’s degree in criminal justice, behavioral science, human services or related field and four years corrections experience, of which one year must be in a supervisory position; OR six years corrections experience, of which one year must be in a supervisory experience. Must be at least 18 years of age. No felony or domestic abuse related convictions.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful applicant must: 1) be a positive role model; 2) be able to manage and lead staff; 3) promote teamwork, cooperation and collaboration throughout the facility and create a positive work environment; 4) be able to effectively communicate; 5) be able to effectively manage conflict and make decisions; 6) be dependable; and 7) have a demonstrated understanding of the responsibilities of this position.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a specific level of quality of supervision and case management of inmates.
- Serve as member of institution executive management team to effectively interface all programmatic areas of inmate life within the institution.
- Coordinate Institutional Classification Committee.
- Administer the operations of all housing units within the facility, including supervision of inmates, inmate moves, unit sanitation, case management, inmate visitation, inmate grievances and ACA compliance.
- Supervise and evaluate staff.
- Administer programs and is responsible for ensuring legal offender involvement and participation in meaningful programs.
- Utilizes counseling referral and follow-up techniques.
- Analyzes legal offender programmatic progress and makes recommendations for modification as required.
- Responsible for establishing parameters for problem resolution.
- Administers and ensures timely preparation, submission, and presentation of institution progress, parole, and other reports.
- Works with the security administrator to develop rehabilitative custodial programs for legal offenders.

- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration, or related field.
- Direct experience with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated experience managing offender housing operations and classification.
- Skilled in conducting investigations and administering disciplinary processes.
- Experience serving on or leading institutional committees.
- Custody and/or Housing Unit experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills desired and assessed.
