The Lincoln Regional Center (LRC), Nebraska's state psychiatric hospital, is seeking a General Psychiatrist or Forensic Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team of behavioral health professionals. As a Joint Commission-accredited facility, LRC provides specialized inpatient and residential psychiatric services for adults with complex mental health needs from across the state.

Qualifications:
General Psychiatrist Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
- Provide medication management and psychiatric care for adults with serious mental illness
- Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in treatment planning, case consultation, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support patient recovery and successful community reintegration
Forensic Psychiatrist Responsibilities
- Conduct forensic psychiatric evaluations and prepare reports regarding competency, criminal responsibility, risk assessment, and other legal matters
- Perform evaluations related to civil commitment proceedings
- Provide expert consultation regarding psychiatric treatment and forensic issues
- Collaborate with treatment teams to support patient care and safety
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and peer consultation
Qualifications:
General Psychiatry
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in Nebraska
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
Forensic Psychiatry
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in Nebraska
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- Fellowship training or experience in Forensic Psychiatry preferred
