State of Missouri
Jefferson, MO Full Time
POSTED ON 5/29/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 6/27/2026

Why You’ll Love This Position

If you’re energized by connecting with people, building strong relationships, and helping individuals find opportunities that shape their future, you’ll love this Talent Acquisition Specialist role. You’ll play a key part in identifying motivated candidates, guiding them through the hiring process, and supporting their successful transition into our programs.

In this position, you’ll represent the department in the community, collaborate with schools and referral partners, and serve as the welcoming face for new team members. Every day offers the chance to make a meaningful impact—whether you’re building partnerships, discovering great candidates, or helping new hires feel confident and supported from day one.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers, participants, and community partners, ensuring timely communication throughout the process.
  • Manage the applicant tracking process, including updating candidate statuses, logging activities, and maintaining complete and accurate records.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates by providing updates, answering questions, and helping them navigate each step of the hiring process.
  • Represent the department at job fairs, hiring events, campus visits, and community outreach activities.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools, referral partners, and community based organizations to support ongoing recruitment needs.
  • Support onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring a smooth and supportive transition into the organization.
  • Provide new team members with introductions to general policies, procedures, guidelines, and department expectations.
  • Serve as a liaison and mentor during a new hire’s first 30 days, helping them acclimate, answering questions, and ensuring access to needed resources.
  • Coordinate and manage the organization’s internship program, including sourcing candidates, facilitating selection processes, overseeing onboarding, and supporting intern engagement.
  • Serve as a liaison for talent and organizational initiatives, partnering with cross functional teams to support program alignment, communication, and successful implementation.
  • Maintain organized documentation, records, and compliance files related to recruitment and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to evaluate recruitment strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts by identifying bottlenecks, enhancing communication touchpoints, and supporting data driven recruitment decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
  • Experience in recruiting, workforce development, or human resources preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship building abilities, with the capacity to engage candidates, community partners, and hiring managers.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple candidates, priorities, and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, including accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and follow through.
  • Familiarity with HireTrue/MOCareers or similar applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Ability to represent the department professionally at community events, outreach activities, and partner meetings.
  • A collaborative, people focused approach with a strong commitment to supporting new hires during their first 30 days.
