The primary duties assigned to this Therapeutic Services Worker position include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with making detailed preparations for, and in carrying out, planned consumer activities in supply and occupational related therapy areas. Position will be responsible for managing inventory control, purchase ordering, documentation techniques and therapeutic applications as a means of developing the clients’ social skills, responsibility, and initiative, as well as their ability to cope with problems, gain self-satisfaction, and adapt to reality situations.
- Learns supply chain management techniques and their therapeutic applications as a means of developing the consumer’s social skills, responsibility, and initiative, as well as their ability to cope with problems, gain self-satisfaction, and adapt to reality situations.
- Introduce new features, activities and outings providing variety and diversity.
- Assist in escorting consumers to and from activity areas.
- This person will maintain a valid driver’s license and will be able to drive the adaptive bus, van, and cars.
- This person must have basic knowledge of a Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Will keep and maintain a supply binder for consumer face sheet, dietary census and BSP.
- Able to perform all essential job functions within 2 weeks of being offered this position.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and as necessary, drive during the day in rural, highway, or metro conditions to transport individuals to a variety of locations for appointment, employment, leisure or vacations.
- Must possess adequate vision to read written material.
- Must possess adequate hearing.
- Ability to physically intervene to maintain safety.
- Possess physical stamina required to provide assistance to clients and to respond in emergency situations which may require the ability to walk, run, sit, stand, or walk for an extended period of time, lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs., ability to work both indoor and outdoor in variable weather conditions.
- Obtain and maintain all required trainings including First Aid, CPR, Safety Care, Advanced Safety Care, and all other trainings assigned.
- 1 year of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).
- L1MA certified within 30 days of appointment or when made available by the facility.
