Salary: $1,790.15 - $1,825.95 semi-monthly
Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, and will be located at Roaring River State Park, 12716 FR 2239, Cassville, MO. Schedule will be 40 hours a week (Five 8 hour days per week with ½ hour lunch break). Work shifts will vary during the on season (March through October) and will require regularly working evenings and weekends. During the off season (November through February) work shifts will be 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with some weekends required.

What you’ll do:
- Assist superintendent with overseeing and managing the overall operation and maintenance of Roaring River State Park, including operation and maintenance of campgrounds, day use areas, trail network, historic buildings and grounds, lodging, small maintenance and repair projects, visitor service functions and organized group camps
- Supervise permanent, seasonal, temporary, and volunteer employees in the protection, maintenance, operation, and repair of state parks/historic sites, natural and cultural resources, facilities, equipment, and systems. Skill in managing and collaborating with staff.
- Assist with planning and directing natural or cultural history interpretation, resource management and research for Roaring River State Park. Assist with planning and coordinating special events, group outings, and special program requests with a variety of stakeholders
- Colaborate with other agencies and/or stakeholders always seeking for opportunities to partner to better serve visitor or protect resources
- Skill in reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, and/or preparing federal or state laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures related to assigned program
- Assist in resource stewardship activities
- Ability to develop budget and project recommendations and perform administrative functions including revenue and procurement, payment processing, filing, data entry, etc.
- Respond to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, personal injuries, disturbances, natural disasters, and any other significant events within the park

Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to operate a vehicle and maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license
- Available to work nights, weekends, holidays, evenings, and split shifts
- Available to participate in meetings, workshops and seminars requiring overnight stays
- Must be able to walk long distances on uneven terrain in all kinds of weather and environmental conditions and have the ability to lift 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
- Coursework in the following fields: park management, parks and recreation, wildlife management, forestry, botany, biology, natural sciences, business or public administration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the use of computers and various software applications including Microsoft Office
- Ability to provide leadership and supervision to staff
- Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the following fields: park management, parks and recreation, wildlife management, forestry, botany, biology, natural sciences, business or public administration.
