What are the responsibilities and job description for the NWCS - Licensed Nurse (PRN) position at State of Missouri?
Northwest Community Services is recruiting for two Licensed Nurses (PRN), to be a part of a highly effective team that supports over 500 employees, that makes a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. NWCS is a state operated program within the Department of Mental Health and supports 100 individuals receiving 24/7 residential services in their own homes across four counties. This position will be domiciled in Slater on the Cardinals schedule.
This is a licensed nurse (LN) position accountable for administering medication and other prescribed treatments; taking vital signs; assisting with care plan activities; observing and reporting patient conditions and behaviors; and participating in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers. May transport clients to offsite appointments and apply restraints when necessary. Knowledge of current nursing theory, practices, and techniques. Skill in applying practical nursing principles in the care of persons with physical or mental illness, developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and/or the geriatric population. Ability to work assigned schedule which may include a variety of shifts, weekends, holidays, and/or required
overtime. This position will specifically provide adequate care as required and assist with care when necessary, including but not limited to, direct care of a specific supported individual’s care.

- GED/HS Diploma
- Licensure as a Licensed Nurse
- Position one: 6:00pm to 6:00am Sunday/Monday
- Position two: 6:00pm to 6:00am Friday/Saturday
