What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefit Program Technician position at State of Missouri?
The Family Support Division (FSD) is seeking applications for Benefit Program Technicians. These positions will be located in the Scott County Customer Service Center based at 106 Arthur, Sikeston, MO.
As a Benefit Program Technician, you will help Missouri citizens to receive food, medical, financial, and nutritional assistance so they can live safe, healthy, and productive lives.
Every day you will determine initial and continuing eligibility of Missouri citizens for these services by telephone and information received with applicants and participants to complete interviews, eligibility determinations, case updates, answer questions about our services, and much more.
In order to succeed in this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least four years of customer service experience OR have a Bachelor’s Degree.
To thrive in this role, you must be personable, compassionate, empathetic, have a non-judgmental attitude, the ability to apply critical thinking skills, and able to use technology to complete your daily work.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
