This position will primarily be working with the Hepatitis surveillance program. As part of a collaborative team, this position will work with intradepartmental and interdepartmental staff on selected projects. This position may require occasional overnight travel for staff meetings, conferences, and trainings.
What you’ll do:
- Identify data resources and collaborate with other organizations to strengthen hepatitis surveillance, prevention, and response activities
- Support data quality assurance and management on viral hepatitis case and laboratory surveillance data
- Routine analysis, disseminate findings, and utilize hepatitis data to develop and improve surveillance, testing, prevention, and linkage to care
- Assist with epidemiologic analyses of the data and prepare reports such as the epidemiological profile on viral hepatitis
- Other duties as assigned related to other reportable conditions

Minimum Qualifications
- This is an entry-level position responsible for carrying out surveillance, detection, and prevention of Hepatitis. Employees work as a team or project member, under the direction of an epidemiologist.
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Knowledge of epidemiologic techniques, methods, and surveillance systems.
- Typical qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
