- Inspections of ACFA-licensed dog and cat facilities throughout 14 counties in West Central Missouri.
- Carry out requirements in the Code of State Regulations in a fair and unbiased fashion.
- Exhibit initiative, an ability to prioritize tasks, and good time management skills.
- Daily travel in the assigned area, ability to set your own schedule, and document activities.
- Employ skills which aid in proper investigation of complaints, including proficient writing skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Four (4) or more years of professional or technical experience in an Agriculture, Animal Science, Criminal Justice, Public or Business Administration or a closely related field. (Required experience, knowledge and skills may be obtained through work experience or through the completion of a relevant bachelor’s degree program)
- Must possess a valid MO Driver’s License.
- A general knowledge of animal health and husbandry or veterinary technician experience.
- Knowledge of animal care facility operations, licensing and inspection standards, and animal welfare requirement.
- Previous experience in self-supervised work and management of day-to-day tasks.
- A familiarity or background in regulatory work.
